Twilight the movie!!!

Okay so this is a little belated. Sorry!!! Twilight was a great movie. Although I don't think you would understand it fully unless you read the book. It had a lot of comical parts. I must say it was the first time I have ever been to a movie and heard cat calls throughout the theater when the main character came on screen.
It was well scripted and all the characters fit the parts they were playing. The only thing that disappointed me was that alice did not have a larger role in the movie.(she's one of my faves)
Anyway, if you haven't seen it go!!! but read the book first :-)

Breaking Dawn

So I recently finished reading Breaking Dawn. LOVED IT!!!! It was one of my favorite books in the twilight series. Jacob was taken care of as well as Bella and Edward. Although I must agree with Juli when I say, what kind of name is renesmee? The book started out a little slow but made up for it in the end.
I wish a new series that tells more about the lives of Jacob and Renesmee would be written. And I absolutly can't wait to read Midnight sun. Bella was sweet but Edward is sweeter.

I am reading another Stephenie Meyer book titled The Host. It is much different than the twilight series but also a good book. Can't wait to finish it.

A cloud factory?

So, the other day we are all in the car when zoe says, I wonder where clouds come from? As we explain to her what clouds are for and about where rain comes from Reece interupts to tell Zoe that clouds come from a cloud factory.
Well, let me say he was very adamant about this claim. Mikyla told him there was no such thing as a cloud factory. He however would'nt hear of it. As far as he was concerned there was most definatly a cloud factory.
After the kids went back and forth about it and after I had stopped laughing "I finally asked Reece what made him think there was a cloud factory? Mikyla jumped in and once again said yeah there is no such thing to which Reece replied" uh-huh I saw it on dragon tales"

I thought it was funny and thought i would share it with everyone.

I'm soooo happy to be home

In case no one has noticed, I haven't been home in quite some time.

I came home last week, then left again for a few days at the outer banks with the kids. We had a great time at the beach. I just wanted to say i'm so happy to be home and I will now try to do a better job of keeping up my blog.

I totally missed home and my friends. Hope all is well with everyone.

This was funny

Okay so we went to Georgia this past week to help my dad with his vegetable stand. He had to go back home to Florida for a few days. His stand is next to a Golden Corral and as I was standing there I looked over and had to read this sign a few times just to make sure I was looking at it right. Check it out, read closely!!

In a few days I will also be posting some pictures of the kids at work.

New Moon

I just finished reading New moon. If you have not read it yet you may not want to read this post! I will try not to give anything away but just in case I do you have been warned.

Okay the book was great but after Edwards untimely departure I was left with a feeling of mourning much like bellas'. Yes I know, i'm probably being over dramatic, But as far as i'm concerned you just can't replace a vampire with a werewolf.
The book was very well written and has a great story line but when edward came back into the story I found myself more involved with the story.

After reading til the end and grasping the entire story and plot, edwards leaving made perfect sense and i'm sure made the book that much better.

Anyway, if you haven't read it you should and if you have I hope you were as excited to get started on eclipse as I was. Otherwise i'm just the crazy lady who loves vampires. Well atleast the ones named edward.

Gone Fishin'

So, this past saturday we took the kids to little river to go fishing. We thought it would be fun and it was. Mikyla caught a baby bass that we returned soon after catching. Zoe thought the worms were gross.(they were) Reece likes the idea of fishing but gets bored with the whole waiting thing. Can't say I blame him. We did get some good pictures of the kids though!

Twilight

Have you read this book??? The only logical answer is YES!!
I would love to tell you about it but every word I can think of is inadequate.
There are no words to describe the wonder of this book. And Edward, what do you say about Edward. There again all words are inadequate to describe this wonder as well.
READ THE BOOK!!! Lose yourself in this wonderful fantasy world then come back and tell me what you think of twilight. Well if you can find the words.

Are you kidding me???

Okay, so I haven't yet decided who I will vote for in the November election since the candidate that I liked the most dropped out of the presidential race. I'm not to keen on any of the others so far but, I also haven't watched any recent debates.(I try but for the most part they bore me)

Here's the problem, today they had kids vote at school. Which is a great way to teach kids about the voting process. But at what point do teachers cross the line?
Mikylas' teacher told her class that Barack Obama is a racist. My reply was of course, are you kidding me?? She really said that to the entire class?
I'll be the first to say I know nothing about Barack Obama and he may or may not be racist however I will say that is a strong accusation to make to a classroom full of 5th graders. (Mikyla voted for Hilary Clinton after being given this information from her teacher)
I thought teachers were to teach our children fact not opinion. And no i'm not saying teachers are not entitled to an opinion but I think this opinion should have stayed out of the classroom.

Although it did give me the perfect opportunity to teach my children the importance of not basing their opinions off the opinions of others. That in making decisions they should always form their own opinions by learning about the subject or person for themselves.

my conference moment

This is a little outdated because I didn't know how to post my pictures(thanks juli :) )but anyway this was my "conference moment" and I guess my sentimental thought.

I'm not always this thoughtful about things however, On the morning of general conference this really pulled at my heart.

The kids are not allowed to eat in the living room, but as we all know on conference day some of the rules go right out the window.
My kids like all kids have their fair share of arguements, fights and tears. Then all of a sudden you see a tender moment between them.

As I was sitting in the chair across from them I looked over and saw them all side by side on the couch sharing a blanket and eating a pop-tart all intently watching the television.(the intently watching didn't last long) and I thought Wow Mikyla will soon be going to young womens and the years are passing by all to quickly. I wanted to take a picture to always remember this day.So as I get older and the kids leave I will always have this picture of conference day to remind me of our eternal family.

Reece and T-ball

So Reece has just started T-ball. Its way fun but as with all kids he is having to adjust to team sports.

This is how it is going so far, he can hit the ball but then where do you run?
Put him in outfield and he finds himself easily bored but thats okay as he knows how to stay entertained you should see some of the new dance moves he's made up out there. He could put some of the dancers off soul train in the 80's to shame.

It is coming along though he's getting the hang of it but until he does ,wow what great pictures!
